Pastor Heriberto “Eddie” Muñiz
Founder & Senior Pastor, Sound of Freedom Church

Pastor Eddie Muñiz, originally from New York, heard God’s call to move to North Carolina and plant Sound of Freedom Church. Stepping out in faith, he and his wife, Maralena, have dedicated their lives to serving their community through this new ministry. With over 15 years in ministry, Pastor Eddie is passionate about teaching, leading, and extending a helping hand to those in need.

His journey with Christ took a pivotal turn when, despite worldly success, he felt an emptiness inside. It was during a life-threatening crisis that Pastor Eddie encountered God in a powerful way, receiving divine healing and a clear purpose. Since that day, his love for God has grown deeper, fueling his commitment to sharing the life-changing message of Jesus.

A graduate of the International Bible Institute Inc., Pastor Eddie is a devoted husband of 24 years, father of six, and grandfather. When not serving the church, he enjoys family time and watching sports.

Pastor Maralena Muñiz
Co-Founder, Sound of Freedom Church

Maralena Muñiz, wife, mother, grandmother, and most importantly, a servant of God, is the co-founder of Sound of Freedom Church. With 15 years of ministry experience, she is passionate about teaching, helping, and guiding others in their faith. As a protector and defender of God’s Word, Maralena leads others through the challenges and victories of life with grace and strength.

Dedicated to nurturing faith in others, especially children, she instills a love for God at a young age. A graduate of the International Bible Institute Inc. with a Bachelor of Theology, Maralena’s commitment to God’s mission is unwavering.

Through every season of life, she remains deeply grateful for where God has led her and the path ahead. Maralena believes in the transformative power of Christ to make anyone a new creation, just as He has done for her. With God by her side, she stands firm in faith, love, and worship.
